The first population is engineering, technical and vocational educators in public higher learning institutions and training centers in the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia. The second population is employers in manufacturing sector in the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia. The third population is new university graduates who are enrolling employability skills training programs in higher learning institutions and training centers in the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia.
The researcher will utilize a self-developed questionnaire, which is a combination of Likert-scale items and open-ended questions. The results of this study will disclose the role of employability skills training programs in upskilling the workforce and minimizing the unemployment problem in Malaysia.
There are four objectives that will be concentrated on by the researcher in this study:-
1. To examine the perceptions of educators regarding the role of employability skills training programs in the workforce of Malaysia.
2. To examine the perceptions of employers regarding the role of employability skills training programs in the workforce of Malaysia.
3. To examine the perceptions of new university graduates regarding the role of employability skills training programs in the workforce of Malaysia.
4. To assess the relationships between employability skills training programs and employment.
